Heirlume wins first place in SheBoot pitch competition

The Forge alumna Julie MacDonell took home the first-place prize of $150,000 in the Invest Ottawa and Capital Angel Networks’ SheBoot pitch competition held on October 15. MacDonell is the co-founder and CEO of Heirlume, during the pitch she impressed the judges and investors with her legal-tech startup empowering business owners to search and file trademarks quickly at affordable rates with a professional standard.

SheBoot is a four-week program catalyzing the growth of womxn-led businesses with scalable technology and tackling challenges in access to capital and mentorship and concludes with a final pitch competition.
