Simon is the Co-Founder/CTO of MedStack, created to solve the problem of compliance as well as privacy and security for medical app developers. As CTO he leads product development and serves as Chief Information Security Officer.
He got his first job at Apple in Cupertino where he coded and became an Engineering Program Manager in Apple’s Core OS/Darwin group. Subsequently he moved back to his native Canada to found Semacode, the first downloadable QR code scanner for smartphones. He won a number of accolades including a Clio award and coverage in The Economist. He has learned countless valuable lessons about entrepreneurship, and followed up with a mobile app development studio, Monolith Interactive, where he created the first iPhone version of the kik chat app.
