We are very proud of our alum Mathstronauts for their achievements in the month of February. Sehrish Zehra, Executive Director of Mathstronauts, has been nominated for Hamilton’s Women of Distinction Award in areas of Science/Tech/Trades. Mathstronauts is also celebrating five years of STEM Hacks, an annual science and engineering competition for Ontario youth that provides students with an opportunity to build their knowledge and skills such as coding, designing, problem solving and thinking critically.
Zehra said she was honoured to be nominated for the award, and is thankful for the assistance The Forge has provided Mathstronauts. “The Forge was an integral part to our initial growth and continuous success, providing us with the resources needed to achieve our mission and our vision. As we continue to educate, enrich and inspire today’s youth, we are absolutely humbled at our success and milestones achieved thus far in early 2020, and look to continue this trend in the coming months and years!”
