Hyivy Health wins big in numerous pitch competitions

The Forge client Hyivy Health impressed viewers and judges in four separate pitch competitions, coincidently the first three were held on the same day. On November 19, Rachel Bartholomew, the founder and CEO of Hyivy Health, pitched her intelligent and holistic pelvic therapy device for women with a pelvic health diagnosis at three pitch competitions. At the end of November, Hyivy Health was selected to pitch at The Odlum Brown Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE) Gala: Pitch for the Purse Finale, taking place next year.

The first competition was at HITLAB’s Women’s Health Tech Challenge pitch day. Hyivy Health placed second taking home $20,000 in-kind legal services from Goodwin Procter LLP and the Audience Choice award. HITLAB Women’s Health Tech Initiative Challenge showcases FemTech innovators pitching their disruptive healthcare solutions. The competition focuses on emerging technology applications and systems that improve medical care and the provision of healthcare among women worldwide.

“[HITLAB’s Women’s Health Tech Challenge pitch day] is a big win for us, not only to receive the support from Goodwin for our regulatory affairs but also to present to a room full of industry experts and investors specifically in women’s health,” said Bartholomew.

The second competition was the Activate!Vaughan Health Innovation Challenge, where Hyivy Health was named the Winner in the Medical Device Category. The event was headed by The City of Vaughan, in partnership with the Province of Ontario, Mackenzie Health, the Mackenzie Innovation Institute (Mi2), SE Health, Sterling Industries, The HUB and ventureLAB.

The third competition was AAGEF’s 6th Annual Entrepreneur Challenge, where Hyivy Health won the Audience Choice award. AAGEF Ontario is the Elite French Graduate Schools Alumni Association working and living in Ontario. This year their virtual pitch competition received its highest number of applicants.

Lastly, Hyivy Health was selected as one of three finalists that will be pitching at The Odlum Brown Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE) Gala: Pitch for the Purse Finale. The virtual show will be held on February 25, 2021, where the incredible finalists will pitch their business visions and the audience will vote live to name the winner of the $50,000 grand prize. FWE’s programs and events are designed to empower women entrepreneurs to overcome barriers and challenges that women face in today’s economy.
