Hyivy Health accepted to TELUS L-SPARK MedTech Accelerator

December 1, 2020

On December 1, MedTech Accelerator announced that Hyivy Health got accepted to their newly launched TELUS L-SPARK MedTech Accelerator program. Hyivy Health is a client of The Forge who developed a connected pelvic rehabilitation device for women experiencing symptoms from pelvic cancers and diseases. Their device provides real-time information from multiple sensors and mechanical functions to help keep track of progress, adapt treatment plans, and provide more effective and comfortable rehab experiences.

The TELUS L-SPARK Medtech Accelerator supports companies to develop innovative connected medical devices (part of Internet of Medical Things) and services aligned with emerging global IoT security standards. The program targets the medical technology vertical and is an offshoot of MedTech Accelerator’s “Secure IoT Accelerator” program launched in 2019.

The leading Canadian communication and cybersecurity technologies companies, TELUS, BlackBerry, Solace, and CIRA have created a technology platform designed for medical technology innovators to accelerate the creation, integration, and commercialization of connected medical devices. Hyivy Health and participating companies will have pre-commercial access to this Platform, which follows the GSMA IoT Security Guidelines, including implementation of IoT SAFE.
