Axcessiom Technologies Inc. receives $76K from Community Foundations of Canada

July 27, 2020

Congratulations to The Forge alumnus, Axcessiom Technologies Inc. for receiving $76K from the Community Foundations of Canada Investment Readiness Program (IRP). This federal boost of funds will assist Axcessiom to build, optimize and market a facial gesture recognition software that will allow drivers with disabilities to seamlessly access the secondary functions of their vehicle. Funded by the Government of Canada, the IRP supports social purpose organizations as they contribute to solving pressing social, cultural and environmental challenges across Canada. “This IRP funding will bring us one step closer to securing the prototype needed to begin commercialization and to providing a more accessible, comfortable, and independent driving experience for drivers with disabilities,” said Hanna Haponenko, managing partner, COO and director of technology at Axcessiom.

Axcessiom Technologies is a software & electronics manufacturing start-up company with a mission to create products to help improve the lives of others. The startup strives to build the most intuitive and accessible products possible while keeping safety, reliability, and affordability in mind. Currently, we are working on designing a Driver Assistance System that will allow people with disabilities to drive their vehicles safely and effectively.

IRP’s goal is to help social purpose organizations build their capacity to participate in Canada’s growing social finance market and prepare for the Government of Canada’s broader investment in social finance.
