$1 Million in funding for cannabis detection technology

July 21, 2019
Zentrela Inc., founded by McMaster University graduate Israel Gasperin, was awarded a prestigious $1 Million Ontario Small Business Innovation Challenge award for Cannabis Impaired Driving Detection. The award consists of a $750K grant matched by $250K of private sector investment.
Zentrela joined The Forge in 2016. Its flagship product The Cognalyzer™ is a portable device that detects real-time brain function alteration due to the psychoactive effects of cannabis. It tests for cannabis impairment rather than simply the presence of THC. Congratulations Zentrela!
